White Settlement firefighter dies following crash

Family members are mourning the loss of a White Settlement firefighter who was killed in a hit-and-run crash.

Police said Trevor Gage was hit while riding his motorcycle on Spur 341 in west Fort Worth Saturday afternoon. He suffered a severe head injury and died Sunday morning at a Fort Worth hospital.

"Please lift up the family in prayer as we mourn the loss of Firefighter Trevor Malcolm Gage pronounced at 11:11 AM this morning 06/26/2016,” the White Settlement Fire Department posted on its Facebook page.

Gage leaves behind a wife and three children. His wife posted a photo of him captioned “Pray For Me” on Facebook Sunday.

Police are now looking for the hit-and-run driver who is described as a Hispanic male with black hair.

He was driving a black Ford F-150 with scrape marks along the passenger side truck bed. The truck is believed to be a limited edition model from between 2010 and 2014.
