A vacant building that was once home to several nightclubs caught fire early Thursday morning in northwest Dallas.

Firefighters received calls around 1:40 a.m. about heavy smoke coming from the building on Walnut Hill Lane near Harry Hines Boulevard.

The fire quickly grew, forcing firefighters to call in more manpower. They had to use a ladder truck to knock down the flames because the building’s structure was compromised.

Investigators are looking into the cause of the fire.

No one was hurt.
