UTA student wears ‘booty shorts' so friend can take a test

ARLINGTON, Texas - A University of Texas Arlington student’s kind gesture to a classmate has been praised by millions of people.

Andrew Nguyen posted a picture of himself wearing his friend Diana Le’s “booty shorts.” He said Le had to take a lab test, but her professor made her change to meet the dress code.

He agreed to let her wear his sweat pants and he wore her shorts. He waited nearly an hour in a bathroom stall while she took the test.

The picture has been retweeted more than 130,000 times. FOX 4 caught up to the friends to see how they are handling their newfound fame.

“I know his phone has been blowing up and yesterday when we were trying to study after my lab, his phone was just like buzz, buzz, buzz,” Le said.

“I wouldn’t like wear short shorts to wear short shorts, but if it’s helping someone that’s the type of person I am. I would take the extra step to help you if you really need help,” Nguyen said.

Le is still waiting to receive her test grade.
