University Park Jimmy John's employee accused of stabbing co-worker arrested

A University Park Jimmy John’s employee accused of stabbing a co-worker in the neck earlier this week has been arrested.

The attack happened at 3 p.m. on Tuesday, at the Jimmy John’s location in the 6400 block of Hillcrest Ave., across the street from Southern Methodist University's campus.

Responding officers found an employee who suffered a knife wound to the neck. He was treated on the scene and later transported to Baylor University Medical Center in Dallas.

The suspect, later identified as 24-year-old Aaron Le El Steward, left the scene before officers arrived.

On Thursday, Steward turned himself into police, and was charged with aggravated assault causes serious bodily injury. His bond was set at $15,000.

Police are continuing their investigation into this stabbing, and say there is still no known motive for the stabbing.
