National Park entrance fees will be waived Saturday to kick off National Park Week

If you didn’t have any plans for Saturday, you might want to visit a National Park because entrance fees will be waived to kick off National Park Week.

The fee-free days do not cover amenity or user fees for activities such as camping, boat launches, transportation, or special tours.

 

 

National Park Week starts Saturday and ends on Sunday, April 28. There are more than 400 parks around the country that people can visit.

Once National Park Week kicks off, each day of the week is also themed.

  • April 20: National Junior Ranger Day
  • April 21: Military & Veterans Recognition Day
  • April 22: Earth Day
  • April 23: Transportation Tuesday
  • April 24: Wild Wednesday
  • April 25: Throwback Thursday
  • April 26: Friendship Friday
  • April 27: BARK Ranger Day
  • April 28: Park Rx Day

In addition to fee-free Saturday, here are the other days where you can get into the National Parks for free.

  • Jan. 21 - Martin Luther King, Jr. Day
  • Aug. 25 - National Park Service birthday
  • Sept. 28 - National Public Lands Day
  • Nov. 11 - Veterans Day
