Two suspects are in custody for their role in robberies on the Katy Trail.

Dallas police said the two men were roommates in the Little Mexico apartments on Harry Hines Boulevard adjacent to the end of the trail, where the robberies occurred.

Daray Robinson, 21, was arrested in Fannin County on Nov. 6 on unrelated charges. Dallas police said Robinson admitted to his involvement in one of the robberies when questioned by DPD.

Jamaciay Smith, 17, was identified by one of the robbery victims in a photo lineup. Smith was arrested by police on Thursday morning.

Police said they used video evidence and credit card transactions to find the two men.

Dallas police wouldn’t say if the two were responsible for all five of the robberies, which happened in late October and early November. Each man has only been charged for one of the robberies.
