Two injured in wrong-way crash in south Dallas

A man driving the wrong way on Interstate-45 caused a fiery crash in south Dallas Sunday morning.

A Mercedes sedan was on fire when police arrived around 5:30 a.m.

The driver hit a Range Rover head on near the Interstate-30 East ramp.

Both drivers were taken to the hospital with non-life-threatening injuries.

A witness told police she swerved to avoid the driver.

Police believe he was driving impaired and will likely face charges.
