Three killed after sedan crashes into armored car on Bush Turnpike ramp
Three people were killed when a car plowed into an armored car on the Bush Turnpike on Thursday afternoon in Grand Prairie.
An infant survived the crash, but was in serious condition at an area hospital as of Thursday evening.
The wreck happened on a ramp from the SB Bush Turnpike to Interstate 20 shortly before 4:30 p.m. Thursday.
An armored truck was disabled in a painted area where the ramp splits into east and westbound traffic for I-20. For an unknown reason, the sedan went into the painted area and hit the back of the armored car.
No one in the armored car was injured.
Traffic was backed up for miles due to lane closures from the accident investigation.
