An advertising company is using their billboards to honor former first lady Barbara Bush with her iconic pearls.

Baton Rouge-based Lamar Advertising is behind the digital billboard honoring the legacy of the late first lady. It’s a black canvas with three rows of pearls and the words, “Farewell First Lady, Barbara Bush 1925-2018.”

The agency says the tribute is being shown across more than 600 billboards across the country, including in North Texas. There are billboards in Dallas, Denton and Tarrant counties showing the display.

“When an event of national significance occurs, such as the passing of an iconic figure, we have the ability to activate our national network of digital billboards to mark the occasion. The recent passing of First Lady Barbara Bush certainly qualifies as such an event,” Lamar Advertising said. “Mrs. Bush was a strong and inspiring woman, and Lamar Advertising Company is proud to honor her legacy.”

Barbara passed away on Tuesday at the age of 92 at her home in Houston. She’ll be laid to rest over the weekend.

The agency created an interactive map below that shows all of the locations the Barbara Bush tribute is being shown. Mobile users can click here to view the map.
