UPDATE: A huge party with hundreds of teenagers ended in Chaos Friday night, when someone started shooting a gun. 17-year-old Vincent Warren is in ICU.

The unknown shooter started firing after police showed up, around 10:30 P.M. at a southeast Oak Cliff community center on Tioga Street.

The injured teen’s dad tells Fox 4 his son was shot in the side, and the bullet went through his spine. The boy underwent surgery Saturday morning and is heavily sedated. His family is worried he’ll never walk again.

The teen’s father says he initially heard his son was shot by a police officer. After further investigation, police say, they found no evidence one of their officers fired on the teen. His father believes his son was caught in the crossfire and the bullet was not meant for him.

Warren’s family says the surgery went fine, and they’re expecting him to pull through.
