It began with a carjacking in Dallas. Police said three teenagers used toy guns to take a woman's car in a pharmacy parking lot at the intersection of Bruton and Buckner Boulevard.
Dallas police followed them, but lost them. They were spotted again later in Garland.
Garland police chased the suspects back to Dallas and used a pit maneuver, in which a squad car rammed the rear of the vehicle, to stop them over the bridge.
The three suspects were taken to the hospital to be evaluated because of their ages -- 13, 15 and 17 years old.
Police said the 13-year-old was the driver.
The 17-year-old in the car has been identified as James Labrew. He's been charged with aggravated robbery and is in the Dallas County jail.
The other two teens have not been identified because of their ages. They are in juvenile custody and will face similar charges.
Investigators say a toy gun and a pellet gun were taken from the stolen vehicle.
The bridge was shut down for a few hours for an investigation.
