SUNNYVALE, Texas - It’s back to school for students in the Dallas suburb of Sunnyvale after a flu outbreak.
The small east Dallas County school district closed for two days because so many students and staff were sick.
The district’s three schools were thoroughly cleaned.
"Our custodial staff and maintenance staff worked really hard to make sure everything got cleaned up. Everything was disinfected -- classrooms, restrooms, cafeterias, all the way down to the busses," said Superintendent Doug Williams.
On Monday, one in every eight elementary school students was out sick.
