Substitute asked to leave DISD school after alleged fondling

The Dallas Independent School District is investigating reports that a substitute gym teacher touched several students inappropriately at an elementary school.

A substitute on Tuesday at Peabody Elementary School allegedly fondled both boys and girls in a fifth grade class.

The school district confirmed the teacher was immediately asked to leave campus.

One parent told FOX 4 he got a recorded phone call from the school Tuesday afternoon. He was upset that parents weren't notified sooner and said the response was handled poorly.

The same parent said his daughter talked to police investigators on Wednesday and at least a dozen students claimed the substitute teacher touched them inappropriately.

DISD said it is still gathering the facts about what happened.
