Stranded travelers hoping to fly out of DFW Airport

Travel is starting to get back to normal at DFW Airport.

The airlines are working through a backlog despite snowy conditions now in the northeast.

Students from Berkner High School's band were some of the people spending the night at the airport because of cancellations.

They were trying to get to Florida for a spring band trip but couldn't make it there.

The assistant band director said the airport was more than accommodating to the students and parents.

"American Airlines opened up a brand new flight for us and really, really treated us good. And DFW Airport set everybody up with cots and blankets and pillows, actually hooked us up with a couple of meals from TGIFridays," Chris Bronson said.

Roads and runways are a lot better and fewer flights have been canceled for Friday so many people who were stuck at the airport should make it to their destinations.
