Special robot helps hospitalized kids tour Perot Museum

A special robot is helping children at Scottish Rite Hospital in Dallas take a trip to the Perot Museum without leaving the hospital.

SuperBot helps children like 8-year-old Ayalin Rodriguez learn and explore all the museum has to offer. She was born with scoliosis and still has weeks of treatment ahead of her.

From her wheelchair at Scottish Rite she uses an Xbox controller to direct SuperBot through the museum.

“I get to know new stuff. And Iike it’s fun to see new stuff and new dinosaurs that hasn’t been here,” Ayalin said.

SuperBot will be at the Perot Museum at least through the summer. Organizers are still trying to decide if they will keep the program going.
