1 dead, 1 wounded in shooting outside Mesquite Twin Peaks restaurant

A fight led to a deadly shooting outside a Twin Peaks restaurant early Saturday morning, according to Mesquite police.

The shooting happened around 1:15 a.m. in the parking lot of the restaurant at 18995 LBJ Freeway in Mesquite. 

An argument between two groups of people started inside the restaurant and continued into the parking lot, police said.

Two people were shot.   Ahmand Rashad Williams of Terrell did not survive his injuries. The other shooting victim, identified now as Anthony Cole, was treated and released.

The suspect is described as a black male with a shaved head who was wearing a red jacket, according to Mesquite police.
