Several injured, 4 in custody after police chase crash

- Rescuers freed one person and took others into custody after a police chase and crash in Oak Cliff.

Dallas police said just after 11:15 a.m. Tuesday officers began chasing four carjacking suspects in a white sedan when the suspects ran a red light and hit two vehicles near the intersection of Ann Arbor Avenue and Marsalis Drive.

After the wreck, the sedan ended up upside down in the middle of the road, trapping one of the suspects inside.

Hydia White says the crash happened right in front of her.

"As soon as the cops came up, they immediately drew their guns on everybody in the car,” she recalled. “They were pulling them out the car one by one."

Dallas Fire-Rescue says it transported six people with non-life threatening injuries. No officers were injured, and police say all four of the carjacking suspects are in custody.

"I immediately got scared,” White said. “I was like, ‘Lord, please don't let nobody shoot nobody because I don't know how to react.’ I'm right here!  I don't know. I was scared."

Joseph Jackson rolled up on the scene shortly after the crash. SKY 4 video showed debris scattered all over the intersection.

"When I pulled up, everything was already out there,” Jackson said. “They was already surrounded, and I couldn't see nothing else."

White says she was still shaking more than an hour after the crash.

"I stopped,” she said. “I prayed because I didn't want to see anybody gets hurt."

Police have not yet released any other details about the carjacking or the suspects that are in custody.
