Service members get free entry to Hawaiian Falls all weekend

Hawaiian Falls will open its door just in time for Memorial Day weekend and offer free admission to military personnel.

The waterpark chain will open its four locations on Saturday in Garland, The Colony, Mansfield and Roanoke.

To celebrate Memorial Day weekend, military personnel and veterans with a valid military ID can get in for free. Family members will be able to get a discounted ticket.

The marks the sixteenth season the for the park. Park operators say they've got big plans for the summer this year.

"We have what we're calling ‘dive-in movies.’ So come out and watch movies with us late on Friday nights,” said Bree Kramer, the park’s operations manager. “We have a special big luau with fire dancers and Hawaiian food going on at every location."

Veterans can get in for free from Saturday through Monday between 10:30 a.m. and 6 p.m.
