A serial robber has struck again, this time in Dallas.

Investigators believe the same man wanted for armed robberies in several North Texas cities robbed a convenience store early Wednesday morning near Interstate 35E and Illinois Avenue in Oak Cliff.

He told the clerk he has a handgun and then reached over the counter to take cash, cigars and cigarettes. He left in a Toyota Carolla that has dark primer on one side and on the rear bumper, police said.

He matches the description of the suspect in at least seven other robberies in cities including DeSoto, Cedar Hill and Duncanville over the last three weeks.

Thanks to surveillance video from one of the incidents, police said they’ve positively identified him as 30-year-old Matthew Bernard Neal.

Police want him off the streets before someone gets hurt.

“It’s kind of shocking, especially since he’s not trying to hide his identity. I mean, he’s hit multiple cities in this area and in none of the videos does he ever try to conceal himself. So it is shocking that he hasn’t been caught at this point,” said Sgt. Chris Huerta with the DeSoto Police Department.

Anyone with information about Neal should call the police. Anonymous tips can also be made by calling Crime Stoppers at 214-373-8477.
