Second teen arrested for Arlington Bowie HS threats

A second teen was arrested Friday for making a threat against Arlington Bowie High School students.

Arlington police said a 15-year-old male student at the school was arrested and faces a charge of making a terroristic threat. Police said the teen made a bomb threat and threatened a shooting at Bowie HS via the app, Kik.

Police will not release the name of the student since he is underage.

Shalaria Jones, 17, was arrested on Wednesday and also charged with making a terroristic threat against Bowie HS. A tweet sent Tuesday morning said there would be a shooting at noon at Bowie High School.

Investigators said they got a search warrant for her phone, and that's how they linked her to the tweet.

Arlington Police Chief Will Johnson said in a tweet on Friday that the department takes threats like the ones that happened this week seriously.
