Search for monster truck stolen in Plano underway

A North Texas monster truck disappeared recently without a trace, baffling its owners.

The 2002 royal blue F-350 is 11 feet tall and has 54-inch tires. It was stolen Friday morning at its new Plano store.

Its owners run three small businesses and use the truck as a vital marketing tool. They paid about $150,000 for it.

Surveillance from a credit union nearby caught the theft on camera, but the video is only being released to Plano police.

Co-owner Dallas Hale says the manager described to him what it showed.

The owners contacted the NTTA to find out if the thieves used the tollway, and if so, what direction they went, but FOX 4 is told that they can't get that information for a few days.

For now, they're hoping a $5,000 reward will entice whoever took the monster truck to return it.
