Scouting for Food in North Texas

Boy Scouts in North Texas are spending the month  of February going door to door and collecting donations to stock the shelves of local food pantries in the "Scouting for Food" drive.

Scouts spent Saturday organizing the donations at a warehouse in the White Rock Lake area of Dallas.

Last year, the Scouts Circle of Ten Council collected more than 224,000 cans of food, which was sent to 45 different food banks.

They’re expecting a record number of donations this year, which is the 30th year of the event.

Fox 4 is a proud sponsor of Scouting for Food.
