School in Terrell evacuated because of fire

TERRELL, Texas - All students were safely evacuated Wednesday after a small fire broke out at Furlough Middle School.

According to InForney.com, firefighters with the Terrell Fire Department were able to quickly extinguish the flames and brought in fans to blow out the school.

Terrell ISD said on Facebook that the fire was small and isolated, but that classes were canceled for the day because the campus is dealing with smoke issues.

All students were taken to the stadium to wait for a parent to pick them up. Those that ride the bus were taken to Wood Elementary School.

Parents were asked to bring a photo ID to pick their kids up.
