Sachse home destroyed by fire during storm

SACHSE, Texas - Fire ripped through a home in the Dallas suburb of Sachse Monday morning.

According to early reports, the fire started after 9:30 a.m. in the 1200 block of Westglen Drive.

Images from SKY 4 showed flames shooting through the roof of the house. Firefighters appeared to be taking a defensive approach.

There’s no official word on the cause of the fire but there was a storm with lightning overhead at the time.

No one was home and no one was hurt.
