Reward offered for info. in deadly Arlington hit-and-run

A $10,000 reward is being offered in connection to the death of a University of Texas – Arlington student killed in a hit-and-run in January.

Kelly Walters, 20, was in a crosswalk when she was struck and killed at the intersection of Northeast Green Oaks Boulevard and Burney Road.

Following the crash, police released surveillance video the public in hopes of finding a suspect. A dark gray 2007-2010 Chrysler 300 was seen fleeing the crash scene.

Oak Farms Dairy is offering a $10,000 reward for information leading to an arrest and grand jury indictment, a spokesperson for the Arlington Police Department said Tuesday.

The reward will be in effect for six months.

Tips can be submitted anonymously to Tarrant County Crime Stoppers at 817-469-TIPS (8477) and may be eligible for a reward.
