Work crews left a large patch of road untreated while sealing a section of Brooklyndell Avenue.
Residents say crews went around cars parked in the street. The city says this is just how it works, but residents aren’t happy with that answer and say it looks sloppy and they were never told to move their cars.
“They just put a notice but they didn't say you have to move your cars,” said Katya Esquivel, whose aunt lives on that street.
The city released a statement reading in part:
"...if cars are present the contractor, works around them and returns at a later date to finish the areas they could not access. The contractor did pass out notices and plans on finishing the street this Saturday weather permitting and assuming the cars are moved when they return."
Residents say as long as it’s repaired they will be happy.
The city of Dallas says they’ll be doing about 29 miles of similar road work in that district, with that work wrapping up in September, so other residents may want to keep an eye out for notices as well.
