Raising Canes to donate sales to tornado victims

Two Raising Canes locations will give money collected through sales Wednesday evening to victims of the recent tornadoes.

According to the company’s Facebook page, the fundraising event will happen between 4 and 9 p.m. specifically at the restaurant on Lakeview Parkway in Rowlett and on Interstate 30 in Rockwall.

When customers mention the fundraiser, Raising Canes will donate 100 percent of the sale to a fund the First United Methodist Church of Rowlett has set up to support the community.

106.1 KISS FM will be broadcasting live from the Rowlett location between 3 and 7 p.m. Listeners are encouraged to drop off gift cards at either that restaurant,  the Raising Canes restaurant on North Freeway in Fort Worth or the restaurant on North Collins Street in Arlington.

For those in other DFW areas, customers can ask to have a donation amount added to their order.
