Possible tornado hits northeast Texas

It may have been a tornado that caused problems in northeast Texas. Pictures show a funnel near Winnsboro and there is clear damage.

The mayor of Winnsboro has declared a state of emergency because of all the damage in that town. The wall of a car wash was destroyed and there are reports that several structures where roof have been taken off.

The same storms hit the Dallas-Fort Worth area shortly before then and brought some hail. Viewers in Irving, Euless, Fort Worth, Valley View and Las Colinas shared photos of up to dime-sized hail coming down.

It seems the areas northeast of DFW got the worst of the storm. There are uprooted trees and power lines down across East Texas.

Schools in Decab are also delayed until 10 a.m. because of the damage.
