Police; wife shot husband in Oak Cliff

Dallas police are looking into whether alcohol played a role in a shooting that happened just before 2:00 Sunday morning.

Detectives said they were called to a home in Oak Cliff on Custer Drive where a husband and wife were in a verbal argument.

The 34-year-old wife, Leretta Lashon Lee,  shot her 36-year-old husband in the neck, police said.

He's being treated at Baylor University Medical Center. He is in serious condition but is expected to recover, police said.

The wife was taken to the Lew Sterrett Jail.

Police are talking to a witness who they believe was in the house at the time of the shooting.
