Police: Two killed in crash in Northwest Dallas

Police say speed and alcohol are factors in an overnight crash that killed two people in northwest Dallas early Sunday.

First responders were called to the scene on Walnut Hill Road,  near Marsh Lane, just after 2 a.m.

Officials say the driver of a Ford Mustang slammed into a Honda Civic.

Police say two people in that car died at the scene, and the driver of the mustang was taken to a hospital.

No word on the identities of the victims or the driver.

Police say the driver of the Ford Mustang was transported to Parkland Memorial Hospital where it was determined he was under the influence of alcohol.
