Police searching for west Oak Cliff sex assault suspect

Dallas police are searching for a man they say tried to sexually assault multiple women in the west Oak Cliff area.

Investigators said there were three incidents between Oct. 2 and this past Wednesday at an apartment complex on Preakness Lane, near Jefferson Boulevard and Loop 12.

In the first case, a woman said she was grabbed from behind while she was outside an apartment talking on a phone around midnight. She said the man tried to pull down her pants and drag her to the back of the apartment complex.

She described the suspect as a black male who is around 18 years old and 5 feet 7 inches tall. He reportedly has a dark complexion, short hair and a thin build. He was wearing a black hoodie at the time.

A few days later, police said a man matching the same description exposed himself to a woman as she was getting into her car at the same complex around 4:30 a.m.

Then on Oct. 11 a man again matching the first description grabbed a woman outside the complex around midnight and tried to pull her pants down.

Each victim was able to get away by screaming and fighting back, police said.

Police are asking people at the apartment complex to be on high alert. Anyone with information is asked to call the Dallas Police Department.
