Police searching for driver who ran into Lake Highlands business
Dallas - Dallas police are looking for a driver who crashed into a Nationwide Insurance building then left the scene.
Police got the call just before 5:00 Saturday morning.
A huge pile of heavy bricks tumbled down in the area where the car hit the building, in the Lake Highlands area of Dallas at Abrams Road, near Skillman Street.
The driver took off his license plates before running away. However, driver taking off his plates did not do much good for him or her because police still have the car’s VIN number.
Police are also looking into whether the business has surveillance video of what happened.
The car is a dark colored 2013 Kia Optima. Investigators said they believe the crash was accidental.
