Police at UT Arlington are investigating a Wednesday afternoon armed robbery on campus, according to the school’s emergency alert system website.
UTA Police say the latest victim was walking through parking lot 51 near West and Bessel when it happened.
"The suspect initially asked for directions but then exhibited a revolver in his waistband and demanded the victim's property,” said Chief Kim Lemaux with the UTA Police Department.
The victim had his cell phone and wallet stolen.
The robber drove off in a black, two-door Pontiac with a license plate that begins with FBR.
The suspect is described as black man who is 5-foot-8 to 5-foot-10 and about 170 to 190 pounds. He’s believed to be in his early 20s with a close cut haircut and no facial hair.
He was wearing a black T-shirt with white lettering and black basketball shorts.
On Monday, in the parking lot across from Lot 51, a male student was held up in much the same way, by two robbers with similar descriptions.
Police believe the two could be connected.
