Police: Man tried to abduct teen in Duncanville

A child predator alert was issued in Duncanville after a teenage girl said a man tried to abduct her near Lakeside Park.

It happened around 6 p.m. Monday. The 15-year-old girl said she was walking along Park Lane near Little Creek Drive when a man in a car pulled up next to her.

She said the man called to her and said something about getting into his car. He then got out of the car and grabbed her arm.

She told police she kicked and hit him until she broke free. The man then drove away.

“I want to know who it is, where he came from, what’s he doing and I want him to be caught. I want Duncanville to let us know when he’s caught. Do some investigating and let us know,” said Mike Smith, a neighbor.

Police are asking people in the area to check home surveillance systems for any video that may have captured some of the incident on camera.

The suspect is described as a heavyset, middle-aged Hispanic man with a mustache driving a dark-colored, four-door car.

Anyone with information is asked to contact Det. Hill with the Duncanville Police Department at (972) 707-3836.
