The man accused of murdering twin sisters in McKinney was arrested 60 miles away from the scene of the crime.

Police said Kelley Bigham killed his estranged wife, 49-year-old Karen Bigham, and her sister, 49-year-old Kathy Boobar, Monday afternoon.

Police were called to their home in the 2800 block of High Pointe Boulevard around 5:40 p.m. for a domestic violence complaint. That’s when they found the bodies of the two women.

Bigham, 50, was later arrested in Rains County in East Texas. He was moved to the Collin County jail overnight.

Neighbors were horrified to find out what happened.

“You don’t expect anything like this to happen so close to home. And I really can’t believe that something like this would happen in this neighborhood,” said Conzie Wells, who lives nearby.

Police are still trying to come up with a motive for the murders.
