Dallas police arrested a woman who led them on a chase through several cities overnight.

The pursuit began in Seagoville when officers tried to pull over a pickup that was reported stolen. But the driver took off.

Dallas County sheriff’s deputies joined in. Texas Department of Transportation cameras caught part of the chase near the LBJ Freeway and Central Expressway in north Dallas.

The chase ended in a parking lot on Northwest Highway near the Central Expressway.

“There were cars coming from the back so she really had nowhere to go and after a while they surrounded her and just told her to get on the ground, get out the car,” he Canaan Peoples, who saw it unfolding.

The driver, identified as 28-year-old Ashlie Anderson, was taken to the hospital because of her erratic behavior and suspected drug use. Officers reportedly found methamphetamine and heroin in the truck.

Anderson will be charged with evading arrest and possession of a controlled substance.
