The Tidwell Middle School eighth grader wrote a book graphically describing the murders of his classmates, calling several by name.
After reviewing the case, the district allowed him to return to class, prompting some parents to protest and pull their students from the school. The Tarrant County District Attorney's office did not file charges, finding that the book did not meet the requirement for criminal or delinquent conduct.
Monday night was the first time parents could address the board on the issue since the board's last meeting on March 16.
"He specifically stated my son's name and said, ‘I've hated him for a long while and I'm so eager to kill him,'" said parent Jennifer Taylor.
Parents say they want concrete changes to the student handbook so this doesn't happen again.
