Packers ask fans to shovel Lambeau Field snow on Friday

The Green Bay Packers are asking fans to help shovel snow at Lambeau Field after a snowstorm hit Thursday.

The Green Bay-area was hit with temperatures in single digits and snow days before a divisional round game against the Dallas Cowboys.

The team posted a photo of the snow-filled stadium on Twitter and solicited help from fans to clear out the stadium ahead of Sunday's 12 p.m. CT playoff game.

Packers officials estimated as many as 500 people could be needed to shovel snow. People were asked to show up at 10 a.m. Friday and work as long as needed.

Shovelers were required to be at least 15-years-old and get $10 an hour for the work.

Gametime temperatures on Sunday are expected to be in the teens.
