Fort Worth Police arrested a Cleburne mother Friday, accused of lying about her son’s medical condition. Danita Tutt has bonded out of jail on an injury to a child charge.

Her son, 13-year-old Colby Tutt, has been chronically ill since birth, but court documents paint Danita as a mother trying to make her son even sicker than he already was.

Colby became something of a local celebrity last April when WWE wrestler Eric Rowan visited him at home.

Reports from the Star Telegram cite CPS and police documents, stating Tutt loves the attention she gets from having a sick child. The report also says Tutt once asked if there was something Colby could be given to make him go to sleep, and not wake up.

This isn’t the first time the mother has been accused of suspicious behavior. In May, Colby was taken away from her, and placed in the custody of relatives, after it was alleged she withheld food and water from him, made funeral arrangements and purchased a casket for him.

Documents in that report also state Colby's health has improved since he has been out of his mother's care.

Kelly Moseley, a close friend of Danita's, tells Fox 4 she's confident investigators are wrong, “Everything Danita and Clint based their decisions on was what the doctors and the medical staff was advising them to do, they followed medical advice." she said, "She's thinking of her boys. She wants her boys back."

Tutt’s attorney Chris Cooke, points out that it was doctors who diagnosed Colby as terminally ill, and issued a DNR order.

Cooke added the allegations against Danita were only made after the Tutts questioned the level of care the teen was receiving at the Ronald McDonald House near Cooke Children’s medical center.

Friends say she is trying to be strong, and is working to have her name cleared.
