More flooding rain... But the severe threat decreases this afternoon

The worst is over for today in terms of severe hail and winds, but the flooding threat continues. Much of the rain continues to track east this morning, but more showers are forming off to our southwest and will head our way. Late morning to early afternoon should see a break for most areas for rain with even a chance to see a peek of sunshine. Highs will be in the upper 70s today with a few spots nearing the 80° mark if more sunshine peeks through.

New showers will pop up with any heating today as another disturbance crosses the area, although coverage will be lower, at about 30%. Everything dies down after sunset and all is quiet overnight and into Monday morning.

We heat up with a little sun Memorial Day afternoon with a high around 83°. A very strong disturbance heads in during the evening hours with another outbreak of storms, and some will be severe (hail, wind, tornado, flood). Coverage will be high again as well at about 60%.

By Tuesday the pattern quiets down for at least a couple of days. While low coverage showers/storms can't be ruled will be a "drier" forecast until late week when another decent chance for rain arrives.
