Remains in Plano creek ID'd as missing man Christopher Tennyson

Plano police said a skull found in a central Plano creek earlier this week is a man who went missing last April.

Christopher Tennyson, 47, was last seen on April 4, 2015 at his Plano home. Friends and family spent weeks searching for Tennyson after he disappeared.

On Tuesday, a cyclist riding on a trail spotted what looked like a human skull in Spring Creek, behind Carlisle Elementary School. Officers searched in the area and found more bones.

Police confirmed on Thursday afternoon that the remains discovered belonged to Tennyson.

Police had notified the families of Tennyson and Christina Morris when the remains were discovered since they were the most recent missing persons cases in the city.
