The rain held off for the March for Babies events in Dallas and Fort Worth Saturday morning.  Thousands of people showed up to Panther Island Pavilion in Fort Worth and White Rock Lake in Dallas.

Family teams, company teams and groups of friends raised money for the March of Dimes.

Every year, almost 54,000 babies are born too early in Texas, according to the March of Dimes. The March for Babies raises money to help improve the health of babies and support families if something goes wrong.

The March of Dimes also works to prevent premature births and birth defects through programs and services across Texas.
