Grapevine police have identified the man who approached three kids this week. He is a registered sex offender who remains at large.

Tips led police to the identity of 38-year-old Kenneth Roblez. They started searching for him after he made lewd comments to a 9-year-old girl at a Target over the weekend.

Police said Roblez was inside the Target on Ira E Woods and Highway 114 on Sunday and he walked up to a girl. He made comments to her about touching her. He then later walked up to a mother with her 11-year-old daughter and made comments to the mom about doing sexual things to her daughter.

The mother of one of the girls told FOX 4 Roblez approached her talking about sexual acts involving her daughter. By the time she notified the store, he was already gone. But there is surveillance video of him in the women's section of Target.

Police also believe Roblez exposed himself to a 9-year old girl Tuesday as she walked home from Dove Elementary School. In that case a dark grey or silver sedan drove up to next to the girl and a heavyset man between 30 and 40 years old exposed himself to her a few blocks from the school.

"He is a registered sex offender, and we do believe he is a threat to the public," said Grapevine PD Spokesperson Amanda McNew. "We want to get him off the street tonight."

Plano police released surveillance video from the Target on Highway 75 and Parker Road on Sept. 30. The suspect in the video matches Roblez’s description.

Police think he’s the name man who made lewd comments at a Walmart in Plano on Sept. 23 and then lifted a young girl’s skirt at Target on Sept. 24. She screamed and he ran away.

Roblez is also believed to be linked to a similar incident in Plano. Police say a man approached a young girl at a Target on Sept. 24 to talk to her and then lifted her skirt up. When she screamed, police say the man fled to store.

“At this point, we believe it is likely our subject is related to the reported incidents in Grapevine and continue to work with their detectives but our investigation remains on going at this time,” said Plano PD’s Officer David Tilley.

Roblez has a long criminal history that includes charges for theft, prostitution, solicitation of a minor and indecency with a child. Court records state he served prison time for those offenses and failed to notify police of his location as required by his release. He was most recently released from prison in May.

He reportedly lives in Dallas but police said he has given them a false address before. He does have family in the surrounding area.

Anyone who spots him should avoid him and call 911 or Grapevine PD at 817-410-8127.
