Man shot, killed during Irving robbery
A man was shot and killed during a robbery outside an Irving apartment complex.
A man was shot and killed, Tuesday night, during a robbery outside an Irving apartment complex. The victim was talking with an acquaintance when, police say, two armed men approached them and demanded their wallets.
The victims began to fight with the armed men. During the struggle, one victim broke free and began to run away. One of the attackers shot at him several times. The victim fell to the ground and the gunmen jumped into a dark, four-door car and drove off.
Police received a call about the shooting at the apartment complex, in the 800 block of S. Nursery Road, around 7:30 Tuesday night. The victim was transported to Parkland Hospital, where he died. His name has not been released.
Police talked to the other victim, but did not get many details about the gunmen. Police say both robbery victims lived in the apartment complex. It's not known if the gunmen got away with victims' wallets.
