Man helping stranded driver; shot in Red Bird area of Dallas
Dallas police are searching for the person who opened fire on a man who was trying to help a driver who was having car trouble.
The man stopped around 1:30 a.m. Sunday to help a driver in the Red Bird area of Dallas, Dallas police said.
Another driver passed by and fired several shots. They were in the area of Cockerill Hill and Camp Wisdom Roads.
The man was hit in the chest and was taken to a local hospital. The stranded driver was not hurt, police said.
