A man who stopped a domestic attack in Uptown Dallas during Texas-OU weekend but then became the victim himself was honored on Friday.
Trent Kreslins and his friends were in Uptown on the night before the Texas-OU football game when Kreslins said he saw a man hit a woman. Kreslins confronted the man, but was attacked by multiple men and ended up in the hospital.
Dallas Mayor Mike Rawlings recognized Kreslins today for his heroic actions.
"I'm so incredibly humbled and honored,” Kreslins said. “I didn't expect any of this I was just trying to do the right thing so just thank you from the bottom of my heart. Thank you.”
Rawlings also surprised Kreslins with a free hotel room, dinner and tickets to the 2017 game.
