The man believed to have caused a crash that killed three children and injured another in West Dallas was arrested Thursday.
Xavier Taylor, 23, faces three charges of manslaughter. Investigators say he was speeding in the early evening of March 28 when he hit a car carrying Maricela Mendoza and her four children.
Mendoza was turning onto Singleton Boulevard from Peoria Avenue when her vehicle was hit so hard, it was pushed into the opposite lanes of traffic.
Mendoza and her 13-year-old daughter survived. The three children in the back seat – a 3-year-old female, a 6-year-old male and an 11-year-old female – were killed.
Taylor is being held on a total bond of $300,000.
