Man arrested for stealing monster truck

Police arrested a man for theft of a monster truck in Plano.

David Campbell allegedly called the truck's owner and offered to give information about the missing vehicle. They met at a gas station in DeSoto.

Police showed up as Campbell was leaving with the reward money. An officer wrote down his license plate, tracked him down and arrested him on Monday.

The truck that is used for business promotions was recovered with damage.

The owner shared a picture of where it was found in a muddy field. One of its 54-inch tires was at an angle and it is reportedly missing parts.
