Man arrested for stabbing at DART light rail station

DART police arrested a man they believe stabbed a woman after she got off a train one week ago.

Officers arrested Kerry John Bell, Jr., 41, on Wednesday.

Police said he stabbed the woman early last Tuesday morning as she changed trains at Pearl Station in downtown Dallas.

Police believe the two didn't know each other and the attack appears to have been random.

Bell took off running while other riders rushed to help the injured woman.

The woman survived the attack and was hospitalized with what were described as non-life threatening injuries.
