Man arrested for killing woman found in burning car

Dallas police have made an arrest in the case of a woman who was found dead in a burning Fiat.

Manual Rocha Jr. was taken into custody Wednesday morning. Few details about his arrest were immediately available.

Rocha is accused of killing 20-year-old Alexus Garcia. Firefighters found her body on June 20 after putting out a car fire in a wooded area off Royal Lane.

According to an arrest warrant affidavit, the 26-year-old suspect’s ID was also found in the car and he was seen on surveillance video loading something into the vehicle.

Garcia had gone to Rocha’s house the night before, police said.
